Project Title

Project proposal- re creating 1990s photo-shoots
Section 1:  Rationale (pprox.. 100 words)
On this course so far I have learnt how to change the aperture and shutter speeds of the camera to manipulate the overall effect of the images produced. We also learnt many new things in the studio like how to set it up and using different types of lighting etc. low key and high key.  I also learnt how to fully develop film which gave my sketchbook a very retro feel
Section 2: Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
Due to this retro feel in my sketchbook I wanted to add to it, I also really like the style from the 90s so for my final project I decided to re create photo-shoots from the 1990s mainly focusing on the fashion sides. However I will also use my new knowledge in the studio and change the lighting with bright backgrounds and different coloured lights. I have notices that its not just in the clothes that there are actually bursts of colours in the lighting used in the photo-shoots from the decade, often shades of red and orange to contrast with the bright pinks and blues in the clothing.
However its not just the clothes and colours I will make sure the poses and the style of the hair and make up are up to date with the specific decade chosen.
I also hope to experiment with some of the edits, maybe add more colour or layer images in which I have done before to keep a link between my work.
Section 3: Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
Every week I will post a reflection on how far I have progressed on my blog, this will show how far I’ve come and will also include the obstacles I have faced over time and how I have overcome them. It will also have pictures from behind the scenes of shoots and what I’ve been inspired by.
